OUR STORY
Mushrooms and Truffles Since 1954
TRATTORIA ANNA®
The roots of Trattoria Anna date back to 1954, when Anna opened her trattoria on Via Casoni, in the Bolognese Apennines.
It was there, in a land deeply connected to the woods and the changing seasons, that an authentic style of cooking began to take shape. Porcini mushrooms and truffles naturally became its protagonists and, over time, the distinctive hallmark of Trattoria Anna.
But Anna’s story had begun even earlier. Her journey in the world of hospitality started right here in Castel Maggiore, in the very same place where Trattoria Anna stands today.
After her experience in the Bolognese Apennines, that culinary tradition eventually returned to the place where Anna’s journey had first begun.
Since 1998, Trattoria Anna has continued its story in Castel Maggiore, bringing with it the culinary identity that was born in the Apennines.
A story that began with Anna.
A tradition that continues to this day.
OUR IDENTITY
Mushrooms and Truffles
A SPECIALTY FOR OVER SEVENTY YEARS
At Trattoria Anna, porcini mushrooms and truffles are neither a trend nor simply a seasonal offering. They have been part of our history and our culinary identity since the very beginning.
Our cuisine is rooted in respect for ingredients and the seasons. Whenever nature allows, fresh produce takes center stage; throughout the year, we continue to preserve the flavors and character that have accompanied Trattoria Anna over the decades.
Alongside mushrooms and truffles, we maintain a deep connection with Emilian and Bolognese culinary traditions: fresh pasta, traditional recipes, carefully selected meats, and dishes created to enhance the ingredients without masking their true character.
We do not seek to change who we are to follow trends. Every day, with every service, we strive to preserve an identity built over more than seventy years of history.
Since 1954, a story of cuisine, woodland and local tradition.
